COVID-19: Tennessee cases jump 1,300 in 3 days

The Tennessee Department of Health on Friday reported 460 new confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), bringing the total to 8,726 since tracking began in March.
Labs in the state had performed a total of 131,298 tests as of Friday’s report, up 8,198 from Thursday’s total of 123,100. A second round of mass-testing events is scheduled for this weekend in several locations around the state.
In the last three days, Tennessee’s confirmed cases have jumped by 1,332. Over that same period, the state reported 30,609 new tests.
