Hawkins County Sheriff's Office
— A woman called police after finding "goats all over her yard and on her heat pump." A responding deputy estimated nearly 75 goats had escaped her neighbor's fencing — and they had done so multiple times in the past. Due to the repeated occurrences, he was cited for animals running at large.
— A woman reported that a co-worker was at her home uninvited and "beating on her doors and windows." It was not the first time he had done so, she said, as he had been trying to "develop a relationship" with her. An officer later found the suspect at his residence. He admitted to being upset that she hadn't answered his calls or text, then police ordered him not to return to her home. The woman was advised how to obtain an order of protection.
— A Church Hill resident reported theft of $200 from a birthday card, then named a "friend" he suspected had taken it.
Kingsport Police Department
— A security officer at the public library spotted a homeless man lying outside with his body half in the roadway. When stirred, the suspect stumbled into the library and was believed to be under the influence. A pat down by police found he possessed meth, a syringe and spoon, spurring his arrest.
— At 7:30 p.m., dispatch was alerted to a disturbance at Ocean Quest Mini Golf. When an officer responded to the business on Stonebrook Place, he found a pantsless man "wearing only a black jacket." Along with exposing himself, witnesses reported he had been harassing customers and grabbed one woman's arm. The suspect admitted to drinking, then was jailed for indecent exposure, public intoxication and simple assault.
