Titans ride foul shooting to interstate win over Raiders

From staff reports • Jan 21, 2020 at 3:01 AM

NICKELSVILLE — The Twin Springs boys basketball team came out on top 56-48 in an interstate matchup with Sullivan North on Monday.

Connor Lane scored 23 points to lead the Titans, who went 21-for-26 from the free-throw line.

Sullivan North attempted only nine free throws and was called for 26 fouls to nine against Twin Springs — a disparity that left Golden Raiders coach Travis Cain fuming.

“That was the most unprofessional crew I have ever seen referee a game,” Cain said via telephone after the game.
